Glass is tactile, durable, and uniquely suitable for both interior and exterior architectural use. Architects and designers are drawn to the interactions between glass and light, which offer unlimited possibilities for mood, privacy, and wayfnding. Kiln-glass is especially rich territory for artists because it encompasses an enormous range of working methods, from drawing and painting to printmaking and sculpture, all executable on an architectural scale.

Bullseye Glass Company has been hand-casting colored glass for art and architecture since its founding in 1974. Bullseye began fusing glass for large-scale applications at its pioneering Research and Education studio located inside the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon. Today that studio is known as Bullseye Studio and the Bullseye team collaborates with artists, architects, and designers from around the world to fabricate art glass for the built environment, including architectural, landscape, and product designs, public art projects, and large-scale art installations. Clients and collaborators include the architecture firms of Graham Baba, Allied Works Architecture, Hacker, ZGF, and Colab; glass innovators such as Klaus Moje, Narcissus Quagliata and Lino Tagliapietra; ceramicist Jun Kaneko, and sculptor Jessica Jackson Hutchins.
