Portland, OR – Bullseye Gallery is pleased to exhibit work by finalists from Emerge 2012, Bullseye Glass Company’s seventh biennial juried kiln-glass competition for emerging artists, on view April 4 – June 23, 2012.

The Emerge 2012 finalists were selected from over three hundred entries. The exhibition recognizes students and early-career artists rising through the ranks of kilnformed studio glass, but not yet represented by major galleries. The finalists were judged on their excellence of concept, craftsmanship, and design by a panel of three jurors. The 2012 jurors are artist Klaus Moje, artist Silvia Levenson, and Laura Addison, curator at the New Mexico Museum of Art.

Emerge 2012 overlaps with Bullseye Gallery’s Evolve: Past Award Winners – Emerge 2002 – 2012, an exhibition of work by previous Emerge artists. Selections from both Emerge 2012 and Evolve will travel to the New Mexico Museum of Art in late 2012, and then to Bullseye‘s new Emeryville, CA gallery in early 2013.
