Museum of Arts and Design acquires Klein work

Chicago, IL – The Museum of Arts and Design in New York, NY acquired Steve Klein's Exploration Lybster I at SOFA Chicago 2004.

This work has close ties to North Lands Creative Glass, a center for glass studies located in Lybster, Scotland. Klein assisted and co-taught kilnforming workshops at North Lands in the summers of 2003 and 2004. He drew inspiration from the Scottish highlands' rolling green hills dotted with hay bales.

Acquisition of this work was funded through the generosity of a group of collector/members of the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass. The drive for funding was spearheaded by Adele Leight.

Exploration Lybster I was exhibited at SOFA by the Bullseye Connection Gallery located in Portland, Oregon.
