Su-yeon Kim

Most of my glasswork is the response to my daily life. Some works are started from my habits, and some are based on my daily drawings, which are almost like a personal journal containing visualized thoughts. I am not an outgoing person, and also not a fluent speaker. For this reason, I use art - mainly glass - as my voice, and try to communicate with people through my glasswork.

Su-yeon Kim is a Korean artist whose work narrates collected memories based on her drawings. She received a BFA in Ceramics and Glass, and Printmaking, from Hongik University in Seoul, and an MFA in Glass from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
