A recent graduate of City & Guilds of London Art School, Zeinab Harding received a Diploma in Historical Woodcarving and Gilding in 2019. Employing traditional skills, she uses sustainably sourced materials to render decorative and ornamental works. Travels to Rome, Samoa, and Indonesia inform Harding’s work, and she has developed a recent interest in bridging the historical and contemporary by incorporating media other than wood into her practice. Harding has received a number of awards for her work, including the 2019 de Laszlo Woodcarving Prize for Outstanding Work, the 2018 Brinsley Ford Award for Sculptural Drawing Rome Travel Prize, and the Worshipful Company of Joiners & Ceilers Grant.
